MAKER Q CNC hot wire foam cutting machine is a CNC machine using heating resistance wire to cut foam materials. It is capable to make models, molds, silhouettes, and decorations for architects, art and craft designer, and DIY makers. It is a great tool for home use and workshop.
Instead of bits or lasers, the main tool of this machine is a hot wire or a special type of resistance wire which gets really hot when current flows through it. The hot wire melts or vaporizes the foam when passing through it and so we can precisely and easily get any shape we want.
this can handle a variety of foam materials such as foam board, EPP foam (Expanded polypropylene), EPE foam (Expandable Polyethylene), EPS foam (Expanded Polystyrene), EVA foam (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), sponge foam, and thermoplastic foam.
